What's a NASFiC?

The North American Science Fiction Convention (NASFiC) is held each year that the World Science Fiction Convention is elsewhere. With the 2014 Worldcon being held in London, there will also be a NASFiC in 2014. The site for the NASFiC will be selected by a vote of the members of the previous Worldcon, Lonestarcon3, in 2013.

If our bid is successful, the 2014 NASFiC will be a family- friendly convention with 24-hour space and activities for all aspects of SF fandom and pro-dom, much as ConFusion has been over the years. And like Penguicon, we will involve the active Maker and Techie communities of SE Michigan. Both of these conventions have attracted a robust group of local and regional authors. Come find out what they already know: we are experts in setting the scene for fannish and professional friendships and projects to take flight.
